HSA Gala 2009

Every year, The Hispanic Society of America selects an object in its permanent collection as a source of inspiration for the annual gala. In 2009, a ceramic plate with an image of a flapper in a flamboyant peacock headdress painted on its surface was chosen. I created a set of custom illustrations based on the object, infusing the mail campaign materials and the program with full-on Art Nouveau spirit. Muted colors, bespoke typography and soft, cream colored paper complete the vintage feel.
